About
Budgetmonger is an iPhone app that helps you understand where your money goes. Securely connect your bank, credit-card, and investment accounts to see balances and transactions in one place, categorize spending, and build budgets that fit your life.

How your data is protected
Plaid for bank connections
Budgetmonger uses Plaid Inc. to connect to your financial institutions. Your bank credentials are entered into Plaid's secure flow and are never seen or stored by Budgetmonger. We receive only read-only access to balances, transactions, and account metadata.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
All traffic uses TLS. Application data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) in the United States, encrypted at rest. Authentication tokens are kept in the iPhone's hardware-backed Keychain.
Two-factor authentication
Sign-in requires an emailed one-time code in addition to your password. Devices you trust can skip the code for 30 days; that grace period and your session both have separate timeouts.
You own your data
You can disconnect any bank, delete your account, or request export of your data at any time. We do not sell, rent, or share your financial data with advertisers.
